Applied Biomechanics Unit uses the high speed camera & motion analysis systems which enable scientific evaluation of walking and other athletic movement abilities/patterns and skills, not only for athletes but also for patients suffering from various orthopedic and neurologic disorders. As a result of these analyses;
1. Athletes’ affected kinematics and biomechanics can be explored and diagnosed, which leads to a more accurate treatment plan designed accordingly.
2. Athletes can be monitored and evaluated on a regular basis, so, any athlete prone to injury can be determined and necessary preventive measures can be taken.
3. Athletes can be prescribed the necessary exercises, dynamic orthosis based on the data gathered from the analysis. Scientific research & analyses can also be conducted using such data.
4.The unit provides specific experience and exper- tise in the assessment of walking and running and use of corrective material such as insoles to correct identified problems.
